F1: Schumi storms to Japan win. Michael Schumacher wins a record 13th race in a season at the Japanese Grand Prix. [BBC News | News Front Page | UK Edition]

Ferrari is one of the best known brands in the world. And it wins its fame by winning. But titles are about the German pilot, Michael Shumacher. Who is the real hero of the game.

It is an old theme for Italy. To have its own people going abroad to make wonderful things with forerign resources, from Cristoforo Colombo to Valentino Rossi... And to have foreigners to make wonderful things with Italian resources. It is a good thing. I would only like that Italians understood better their open role in an open world. Instead, we seem to be concentrated on ourselves... We are proud, but we don't like to show this feeling to the rest of the world.

It is a role that brings Italy at the center of the European phenomenon. In the interpretation of it that Jeremy Rifkin has just proposed. We should have a better consciousness of it.
