VERONA - Barry Schwartz has written The paradox of choice (HarperCollins 2004). He says that too many choices generate stress. Consumers want choice, but too much is too much. It is also true for information. Freedom is the right amount of choice. Not too much. But that's not an easy judgement that is involved. New journalists are those that make the choice for readers, probably. It is not enough for making good journalists. But it is a role that they have to play. Bloggers are also both generating too much choice and choosing for readers. Social networks, then, decide.
